About Dusk2Dawn

Dusk2Dawn is the first event of its kind to hit the streets of Minnesota.  It is an ambitious and lengthy walk to raise money to support those living with HIV/AIDS in Minnesota and South Africa.  The walk has two route options - a 7-mile route and a 10-mile route.  Worried you can't make 7 or 10 miles?  Then we have 3 and 5 mile options for you as well!  We also have support vehicles along the route who can pick you up and transport you to the next rest stop should you not be able to complete the entire mileage.  Whether your goal is to do 7 miles, 10 miles, 5 miles or 3 miles, we want your participation.  Download a brochure.

The Details:
The inaugural Dusk2Dawn Walk takes place the night of September 26, 2009.  Walkers begin at 6 pm.  The walk starts and stops at St. Joan of Arc Church and takes walkers along the parkways of Minneapolis and the lakes.  Rest Stops will be available along the route to keep you fueled up!

The Cause:
Walkers have a required fundraising minimum of $200 for individuals or $300 for a team of two.  The registration fee of $50 applies to the minimum donation.

Individuals 10-17 of age and full-time students are required to raise $100 and also pay a reduced registration fee of $35. The registration fee will be applied to a minimum donation of $100. The money raised from Dusk2Dawn will go to support two amazing organizations; Arm In Arm In Africa and Open Arms of Minnesota. Learn more about them here.

What's Provided:
Dusk2Dawn is fully supported and provides Walkers and Crew members with all the necessary amenities and much more.  Rest Stops will be available approximately every 2 miles to offer rest, water, sports drink, snacks and fun!  A Miusical Closing Celebration awaits the walkers at the finish.

Support:
Support and safety
vehicles (also known as sweep vehicles) will be patrolling the route to make sure you are safe and sound throughout the event.
